Arthur Virgil Michaelmas, Ph.D., Is only somewhat knowledgeable about most things and mostly knowledgeable about some things. The topics which usually captivate his mind – though he sips from the fount of knowledge often – are historical, mythological, and mechanical. In more specific terms, he can typically be found tasting an aromatic pipe tobacco on a rainy day while flipping through theological texts. He has never married, nor has he produced any children. Professor Michaelmas directs the majority of his frustrations and affections to his two assistants, both of whom compile most of his works.
